Introduction to Intradependent Sacramental Movement

The independent sacramental movement is a vibrant tapestry of communities. Within it, the spirit of collaboration shines, urging clergy and laity alike to foster connectivity without the constraints of centralization. As we explore these themes, we can foster deeper relationships that bind us together in faith.

The Importance of Communion Without Control

Communion without control emphasizes an open dialogue among communities. Intradependent sacramental living focuses on the shared responsibility to promote healing and sanctification for God’s people. It is crucial to recognize that sacramental life is not merely an individual blessing, but rather a communal gift entrusted to all. By maintaining our independence while supporting one another, we can offer a more credible witness to the good news of Jesus Christ.

A Vision for a Connected Future

This project aims to provide resources, reflections, and tools that will assist all those committed to becoming better stewards of sacramental gifts. As we address past wounds, distrust, and rivalry within our communities, we are called to envision a fitting future. We must learn to pray for one another, sharing what fortifies our church while honoring the legitimate diversities present in our movement.

Closing Thoughts

As we prepare for the launch of new collaborative resources aimed at fortifying the independent sacramental movement, we invite everyone to remain engaged. This is not about creating a singular authority but about nurturing relationships that transcend isolation. Join us in this journey towards a more connected and humble community that values mutual support and accountability.

Intradependent Sacramental

Catholicity without centralization. Communion without control.

A new collaborative resource is coming soon for clergy, laity, communities, and jurisdictions within the Independent Sacramental Movement who believe we are called to be independent, but not isolated.

Intradependent Sacramental exists to encourage deeper communication, shared formation, mutual support, responsible collaboration, and a more credible common witness to the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Many of our communities have developed in isolation. Some carry wounds. Some have experienced distrust, rivalry, or disappointment. Yet the sacramental life we have received is not meant to become private property or a personal kingdom. It is a gift entrusted to the Church for the healing and sanctification of God’s people.

This project will seek to offer resources, reflections, conversations, and practical tools for those who desire a more connected, humble, and accountable future for the Independent Sacramental Movement.

We are not building a centralized authority.

We are not erasing legitimate diversity.

We are not asking every community to become the same.

We are asking whether we can learn to recognize one another, pray for one another, share what strengthens the Church, and become better stewards of the sacramental life entrusted to us.
